Rise And Shine: Taking Care Of Business Before Noon

Rise And Shine Is Early On The Farm

Rise and shine, get up get up get out of bed, get up, get up you lazy head!  I woke up to the voice of my uncle sitting next to the bed saying these words, it was 4 o’clock in the morning!  The sky outside of the window was just barely showing the light of dawn and in the distance I could hear the country coming alive with the chirping of birds, the clucking of chickens, the call of the roosters and the mooing of cattle.  I am the city boy son of a farmer’s son, and am usually lucky to get to the school bus stop at 7:00 so this alarm at 4 in the morning was a new experience.

Rise And Shine IS Carpe Diem

Rise and shine is the essence of ”carpe diem” or ”seize the day”!  Getting your work done starting early in the morning is the only way to be able to get the most out of the day.  The morning before the rest of the world distracts you every five minutes is the easiest time to get the important work done that will make the difference between success and failure.

I am an opera singer, and we perform in the evening, which makes our bedtime rather late on a regular basis.  Getting up early in the morning for singers is not a good thing to do because the voice and the body need adequate rest.  But, even for me, it is easier to learn music at 8 a.m. than it is at 8 p.m.  I am simply more alert AND can focus better.  Rise and shine for singers is later than for other professions, but it still applies, get your work done before the world seizes you.

Rise And Shine For Freedom

Rise and shine is the ticket to freedom.  If you can get all of your work done before noon, then you have the rest of the day to enjoy your life.  Granted, sometimes your work will carry on into the day or there will be things to do in the evenings, but the nuts and bolts of success should come first in the day.  It is called taking care of business.  Getting it done early ends procrastination and puts you ahead.  How nice a feeling is it to not have things hanging over your head?  Pretty awesome. So, rise and shine and seize the day from the beginning!

In blogging I have tried several methods, but the best has proven to be doing it first thing in the morning. Click here and enter your E-mail address to find out more about this great system to change your life!  In the morning you have time and energy to do it, if you wait till later all you care about is getting something, anything written.

Carpe diem, guarantee success by taking control of your day from the beginning.
