Teamwork And What It Is All About

The first day I was in the Chamber Singers at Western Kentucky University it became evident that I had entered into something that was special.  The Chamber Singers was a group of singers selected because of their merits as singers and ability to do extraordinary music.  We were all in college but the atmosphere was serious and there is no doubt that we held each other to a high standard.  I recognized upon receiving the music we were to sing that this wasn’t going to be easy.  It pushed us all I think and what you had at the end of a rehearsal was a group of young people worn out from the mental challenge of it, not to mention the vocal challenge of rehearsing.  We had a concert to do in the near future and there was no avoiding it, we had to get the music learned and to a high performance level.

Teamwork begins at that stage of recognition that this won’t be easy.  Doing anything at a high level is a struggle and binding together and fighting through it together is what makes teamwork such a great thing.  You are taking a jigsaw puzzle made up of people of different shapes and sizes, skills and talents and putting them together to create something greater than the sum of it’s parts could ever create.  No doubt for some in that group it was the highest artistic experience they ever had as singers and musicians.  We couldn’t do it when we began but we got it done and we all profited from it, as did our audience.

Joining A Winning Team Is The First Step To Success – Teamwork For One Goal

People join things in order to get good at something, in fact, teamwork is the basis for all achievement in life.  You grow up in a team, the family, go to school in a team, get a job with a team, join sports teams to get better at playing a sport or join clubs to become more involved with what you are interested in.  There you gain skills, get to know people and get better at what you want to do.

Athletes, artists, business people, scientists all want to join the winningest team they can find, because they know that if they are member of that group it confirms them as an individual and helps them succeed as much as possible.  Rarely do you see the top prospect of a sport join a team that is not a winning team, and when they do they are the ones that have to do most of the work to pull the team up.

Joining The Empower Network And The Extreme Team: Teamwork With A Winning Team

The reason for joining the Empower Network and the Extreme Team is the same as with any other team you may join.  You want to win, so does everyone else.  The Extreme Team is full of great leaders who know what this business is all about.  But, there are a lot of people who don’t know what to do to be successful, and just like the Chamber Singers I was a part of, we want to succeed but stare at the mountain to climb and are often discouraged by it.  But, together the work gets easier the more people you have working on it.

Joining a team and bringing in new members to that team is how the effort works.  I doubt that anyone who started knew what they were doing, but with time, they added sales and people to their team and so it goes down the line.

If you don’t join the team you cannot win, because there is nothing for you to offer others that would compel them to join you, but if you are on a winning team, then getting people to join that is a great selling point.
