Rising Tide: A new vision for the future
One of my many pet peeves about the current state of affairs in the United States and the world in general is that we are all caught up in the conflicts of the present. As horrendous as that all is, we must formulate a brighter future by releasing ourselves from the grip of this insanity.
I moved back to the United States in 2016 after having lived in Germany for the better part of almost 30 years. I returned to a soaring economy, a stable government under Barack Obama, and things seemed to be doing pretty well for all intents and purposes. But, there was an orange cloud on the horizon that rose like an Atomic fireball out of the depths of America's darkest souls. Now, for 10 years, the orange menace has been threatening the very nation that made him wealthy, and there are plenty of corrupt people more than willing to be seduced by the power we have given him.
Now, I could go on and on about this...but that is not how we get out of this. We get out of this by having a better plan for the future and we need to get that plan sooner than later.
The Dawning of a New Age
Artificial Intelligence is a technology that I don't understand but realize is going to be the greatest influence on life on earth going forward. It is an exciting technological development that we need to embrace and get on the right side of before it is too late.
Our focus must be on using this amazing technology to improve life on earth in ways that have never before been considered possible. We cannot be scared of it, we must be its master.
What does the brightest future look like?
People worry that people like truck drivers and factory workers will lose their jobs. I ask, "Is that a bad thing?" Isn't it a colossal waste of time to sit in a truck and drive all day? Wouldn't it be better spent helping someone in need? Building homes for the poor? Feeding the hungry?
I say we give them better jobs that raise the standard of living for everyone. Let them learn new skills to do new things, all the while raising their self-esteem and bank account.
It is difficult for me to formulate. The possibilities for an unbelievable future lie right at our feet, and our ability to see it is blinded by our current distress. We are being handicapped by it. We must release our minds to start building the bright future that is very possible for us and sell that vision to a needy world. That is our chance right now.
I'm going to publish this now, but I will continue later.
