Momentum Will Carry You Forward

Keeping momentum moving forward is the most important element in succeeding in anything in life.  It is nothing new to realize this, but it becomes apparent when you are working on something like blogging everyday.  You blog everyday for a month and it is easy to do, but then something comes and knocks you off of your ”high horse” and you fail to blog for a couple of days and then getting started again is even a bigger challenge than it was at the beginning.

Stopping Momentum Steals Away Your Past Efforts

The thing about stopping momentum that is so destructive is that it erases the success and flow of everything you accomplished up to that point, and it is easy to get discouraged by that fact.  Assuming you have been on a diet for two weeks, then you say, ok today it is ok to take a day off.  You eat stuff outside of your diet and then you feel like you used to feel, and it seems that all of your efforts up to then are all for naught. So, you decide that it is easier to just give up on it than to start all over from the beginning again. The stopping and starting costs much more energy than just keeping the momentum going in what you are doing.

Momentum Swings As Fast As The Wind Changes Direction

In sports competition momentum is often referred to as ”Uncle Mo”.  Uncle Mo is fickle and changes his mind on a whim.  When he is on your side, you hit baskets, run faster and jump higher, it seems like you cannot be beaten.  When Uncle Mo is against you it seems you can do all you can and nothing is going to work.  Momentum with everything is like that.

In schools, jobs, arts and sports everyone meets at certain places and works together mostly so everyone stays on task and the momentum keeps moving forward.  If you are alone and working on your own projects, it will take a lot of fortitude to keep your momentum moving forward every day.  It is much easier to work every day than it is to work five and then stop for two.  You don’t have to do everything but you should do something that is going to keep your momentum moving forward.

Distractions are the enemy of momentum.  One good way is to start early and keep it going. How you start the day decides what your day is going to be like.   Most of all, you cannot allow discouragement or naysayers to knock you off your course.  Getting things moving forward again is gut wrenching.

Keep momentum moving forward. Just don’t stop yourself by not doing what needs to get done to keep the momentum moving forward.  A great example of this practice is blogging everyday.  If you want to find out about this fabulous blogging platform just go the this site and access the information.  It is easy and fun, but sometimes it can be a challenge to keep the momentum going, every day!
