I Recognize My Challenge Of Being Loyal to A Plan

This is going to be somewhat of a confessional because it is apparent that my challenge in life is making a plan and executing it fully involved in the here and now.

I have always looked to the future, to ideas and to finding a new way of doing things. The constant search for something better takes me away from being fully present in the beautiful life I have at the moment.  I see, hear and feel the troubles of the world and want to find an answer for everything and everybody and in the search for the ”secret” on those things I take myself away from the world I live in here and now.

The memories of the past are usually bright ones, showing me that the present of the past must have been beautiful, but I also realize that at the time it was happening I was off somewhere else in my mind looking for something else, not fully realizing the present pleasures that were granted me by life.

Being in the here and now is my challenge

Wrestling my mind to the ground of the here and now is my challenge every day. My mind wants to dwell on problems created in my past because I was putting off the things to do now for a better time in the future to do them.  The irony is, that I have known for a long time, that the only time anything gets done is now.  The power of that is immense and every time you give that power away you grow weaker, self confidence wanes and you become fearful to act because you are afraid of the consequences positive or negative.

The now brings my challenge into focus

Time is like water coming out of a faucet and going directly into a drain.  You turn on the water and you see it pass, you turn it off and it disappears.  You can only drink from that water while it is falling, not before or after you have turned it on. My challenge every day is to turn on the faucet and drink from the water as it is falling. That is the only time where the thirst can be quenched.

The passage of time is fast, just as fast as the falling water from the faucet into the drain. Those capable of catching the time and using it to the fullest will have a happy life even if your circumstances aren’t all that happy because you are in your power of the here and now.
