"Being creative is enough."

Simpson, Why are you blogging?

January 31, 2015

Hey Simpson, why are you blogging?

This is the question I think that other people wonder about when they think of me today and I thought I would write a long and hopefully not too boring post about my reasons for blogging.

I’ll do it in listing the reasons.

  1. Self-Expression. I must express myself and I believe that self-expression is one of the human being’s primary needs. I wrote an entire book on the subject called ‘Boredom to Brilliance’. In order to understand fully what this means to a person you have to buy the book and actually read it. Blogging, by definition is a Web – Log, Blog for short. Like the Captain’s Log on a ship, a blog is a daily recording of what your life’s journey is all about saved on the now virtually eternal storage site, the Internet, about any aspect of your life you want to write or tell about today. It is a private website totally dedicated to you and your interests. For me, it is a place to unify all of the things I am learning and have experienced in my life, hopefully creating a publication of such breadth and depth that it will ultimately be something of interest to people. But most importantly, blogging is like singing in the shower, you do it for yourself and as we all know, you always sound the best in the shower. No matter if its not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing, sing a song. That alone is reason enough.
  2. Artistic License For me the blog is about having artistic license to represent your art and your mission in exactly the way you want and it is a living, breathing thing. Websites are static, and a good place to put information. But, a blog is alive, everyday wakes up with a new entry, going out into the universe of the internet, growing and growing your message as you learn the techniques of blogging and marketing that blog to promote your interests. You can connect your static website to your blog so that when people see your blog, they can be forwarded to your static website, giving them the information that you want people to see, whatever that is. Blogging is the axis around which you can turn the wheels to do whatever it is you want to do in life.
  3. This Platform and Boredom to Brilliance. I have never accurately described what the Empower Network, now the new Kalatu Blog and the Legacy Blog, and the entire education behind it means to me and my vision of what it can mean to the community of musicians and artists as a whole.
    1. The arts and music and everything that is related to it are in my opinion the highest level of existence a human being can achieve. Some of the worlds most influential people were passionate about the arts, about music and thus were able to bring this level of achievement to the world in a way that ”straight laced” people were unable to do. Talents do not come in small quantities to people of great value. Whether it is through music, writing, painting, dancing or any other ”hobby”, if you look at the greatest who have ever lived, they all have or had a component of one of the arts as a part of their lives. Lets face it, it keeps you from being a ‘grey’ person. So, being involved in the arts in some way is to me a predetermining factor in becoming an influential person of value to society, even if that what you do isn’t ”artistic” in nature.
    2. But, there is one thing that creates a problem for people, especially at the beginning of a life and even more so towards the end of life. This is the element that desperately needs to be addressed in our society and I don’t think there is a better answer than the one you are reading right now. The Kalatu Blog of the Empower Network.
      1. Money, or a lack of it. This is that ONE THING.  When I wrote the book and it was published, I had a difficult time understanding how to make the intrinsic value of artistic pursuits translate into worldly real life value, or to put it bluntly, money, and to have a REAL SOLUTION to solve this issue for the people who came into contact with my book and the project, which has slumbered somewhat out of trying to figure this out. To me, it is a critical point and the ramifications of it can be explosive.

The question I was asking myself was…

”How can I make it possible for people to pursue their art or their mission and encourage them to share it with the world and have this be a way for them to generate an income form it?”

My answer was, I will sell a newsletter that I publish monthly for a $20 subscription and set up an affiliate program where they can also sell this newsletter to others for $20 as if they had written it themselves!  But, the problem was, I couldn’t figure out how to make 1 to 1 $20 sales lucrative enough for people to actually want to do it, other than simply thinking that the newsletter’s value was such that it deserved sharing with others.  How can they make a living income selling a $20 buck newsletter? They would have to sell 200 of them to make a $4000 dollar a month income. That is a lot of sales, and you have to keep on selling, because people will ultimately stop subscribing at some point.

Then one day, I stumbled across the Empower Network and started looking at David Wood and David Sharpe’s videos about this blogging thing they were doing.  I’ll admit, when I first saw them there are two things that came to mind, 1. This is total and complete BS. 2 Either these guys are total nuts or they are geniuses and they have something here that sounds very familiar to me.

Then it hit me, instead of producing a newsletter about Boredom to Brilliance, why not offer the Empower Network’s Viral Blogging System to my B2Bers and do the exact same thing but even better and much more powerful?  First of all, Dave Wood came up with a hybrid affiliate model that used 1 to 1 sales in a leveraged pass up compensation system that made it possible for people to make more money without necessarily more effort. But, here is the absolute beauty and what synthesizes Boredom to Brilliance and My Mission to Monetize the Arts for people getting started or who already doing it or have done it.

Boredom to Brilliance is about expressing yourself, a blog is about expressing yourself. It makes total sense to sell people a blogging platform to use to express themselves, represent themselves artistically on their own website and to let them become affiliates too so they can sell it to others to do the same thing, all the while building a residual income stream leveraged by the efforts of others. Now the commission is at 70% of the sale price, which means for every blog you sell that you make or is connected to you through the comp plan, you earn a monthly $17.50. Have 10 sales connected to you that is $175.00 per month. Not enough? Then start selling the other products, how about the $100 per month Inner Circle, with a $70 commission, bringing it to $87.50, boom, you are now earning $875.00 per month. Double that to 20 and you are at $1750 into your bank account. Automatic Residual Monthly Income.  Folks, that is more than most people take home in their jobs every month.

The Empower Network’s mission and the Mission of Boredom to Brilliance are basically %100 aligned and that is to encourage and transform people from a life of boredom, of financial dependence, a life being harnessed by money issues, and set them free to express themselves freely and to become the strongest person they can possibly dream of becoming.

Folks, maybe I could create an entire operation to do this as well, but why would I do that when the Empower Network is full of people who are a thousand times better than I am at it. It is all about building a fan base, about teams about creating energy towards the highest and best about what life should be about and that is expressing the beauty and greatness that lies within everyone…because…We were born complete and with what I describe as a divine commission to do our best to make the world a better place.

Boredom to Brilliance and the Empower Network believe that to make the world a better place, we must become better individually and that means to express ourselves at the highest and best that are which gets us back to the single most powerful media outlet that exists in the world today and the is a BLOG!

The Kalatu Blog is designed to set you free to express and promote anything you want to promote and to give you something of value to others to use as well and by doing so make money from it. It is the perfect storm!

People boo hoo internet marketing, affiliate marketing and network marketing who don’t understand anything about what they are talking about. In the future where technology and machines are taking the place of humans in jobs around the world, people are going to need legitimate ways to earn a living income and there are a lot of ways to do it, no doubt. My issue is, how many products can be produced, what is all of this production costing us in raw materials, environmental erosion and how long can a person endure the monotony of a 40 hour work week and still feel like the enlightened warrior they were born to be?

No, blogging and this blog, Boredom to Brilliance or the Empower Network are not the answers to all of the problems in the world, BUT, it is one REAL answer to a very common problem and that problem is, people need to express themselves to feel like a human being and people need to make more money.

I don’t know if this even describes what it means to me to blog and what I envision it to mean to others.

I have seen members in the Empower Network split off to do other things, wildly successful things, but they have done it because of what is taught inside of the Empower Network. I honestly don’t know why someone would ever leave the Empower Network, you are pretty much free to do whatever you want with your blog and your business.

But, to get back to the bare bones of it for me and for the mission of Boredom to Brilliance is to say that expressing yourself and telling people what you are up to by using this blogging platform, and make money by showing it to others Empowering them to broadcast their mission and what they believe in into the world is the kind of chain reaction that can do nothing but benefit those who participate.

Just freaking get the blog and become an affiliate and come out of the closet and explode your mission upon the world!  Click one of the banners on this page and get going!
