Small Chapters: The value of focusing on factlets and keeping content direct and to the point.

I have been listening to the audiobook written by Prince Harry entitled "Spare".

I am impressed by one aspect of this book and that is how brief the chapters are. Each chapter deals with one topic. The chapters don't go on and on about a topic but deliver a short concise reporting of an incident or issue. That is impressive to me.

I want to adopt this concept into my blog posts because I recognize how easy for it is for me to go on and on about a topic, often wandering away from the title of the post.

This flies a bit in the face of my disdain for superficial writing because I believe that issues should be researched in depth. But, my blog isn't really about researching something but rather it is about reflecting on the topics presented. I'm not trying to prove a point or be right about something, my goal is to search for my feeling or test my hypothesis about something.

I think they say that the only way to get internet attraction on a blog is to write articles that are 2000 words long. To be honest, I rarely count my words. I neither care about it or care whether anyone reads this blog at all. The point of the blog is to explore my own reasoning and I am sharing it just in case someone cares to read it. I'm not trying to gain any traction on any subject nor create any type of traffic numbers either. This is my personal blog. I could just password protect the whole thing and allow only a few people access.

So, anyway, that is enough about this. I want to write another blog now, which will be my 3rd this morning.
