The Art of Staying Positive
Is staying positive really such a challenge? If it is such a challenge does that mean that I am a negative person, or is it just the way of the world that keeps reminding us of negative things.
I’ll be honest with you. It appears to be a lot easier to get along in the world if you jump on the negative bandwagon. It is everywhere and so popular. My experience has been that every effort to be positive gets dealt a healthy dose of negativity in response, and not only from outside but also from within. It is like life does not want you to feel good or something. It is weird.
Discouragement and negative re-enforcement seem to be all around us. The little comments and thoughts that are expressed cut through the fragile outer layer of our spirits and our soul gets wounded, the heart is broken, just a little more.
It takes incredible effort to overcome negativity. It is a skill, it is a reminder, it shows us how fragile we are.
Brainwashing Is All Important
We have been programmed to be negative. The cynical world will throw everything at you to make you feel foolish for a Pollyanna attitude towards life. It wants to throw mud into your face because it isn’t “cool” to be positive. It is “cool” to cut everything down, complain, and blame in anyway possible to get away from having to step up and be optimistic. Staying positive takes the ultimate brainwashing program, to constantly feed the mind with good thoughts, because if you leave it to chance, the worms of fear and dread will eat away the soul.
I respect those people who put out a positive message into the world. Even those people and institutions who you would think are positive send out negative messages to the world. It is sabotage really. People who constantly send out positive messages get some of the cruelest reactions to their message. It is almost like they are messengers of the devil or something. Negative people hate positive people and will do anything to bring people down.
The most difficult thing about sending out positive messages is staying positive when someone comes along and cuts you down for it. It isn’t easy to contribute to the positive force in the world, to stand up and stand out, because when you expose yourself to the world, you are setting yourself up for a lot of criticism.
People Make A Living Tearing Down The Messages Of Hope
One effective way to get attention today is to become a cynical critic. All you have to do is pick out someone or some institution that has a positive message and call them all of the names in the book. You hear it constantly, especially on the internet. Scammers, unauthentic, liars, greedy, egotistic, self serving… and the list goes on. People believe it so easily, because they naturally don’t want to be duped. That is understandable. All this is doing is taking advantage of people’s fears, affirming the evil message in the world that you are alone, there is no hope and all of the positive stuff is a hoax.
The way to know the truth is to ask the question, ”Has the person or the entity who is pumping out this negative bilge ever done anything positive to improve the world situation?” I’ll bet that the answer to that question is a big NO! All they know to do is tear down.
If you aren’t a force for good in the world, the least you can do is not tear down those who are trying to be one. But more importantly, don’t let the little voices in your own head tear you down from within, then that isn’t only bad, it is self destructive and psychological self mutilation. It is one thing to defy the world of negativity which surrounds you, it is quite another to know that the biggest enemy comes from within and to consciously plow through it by washing your mind and spirit with positive messages.
So many people look at this blog and the Empower Network and are threatened by it’s positive message, so they think what the world has taught them, mistrust everything, especially those things which could be the answer to your problem, because it is easier to “rather bear their ills we know, than to fly to those we know not of.” Shakespeare was a smart guy.
Faith, Hope, Love are powerful forces, and the key to a life of happiness. Be one of the few who are constantly living those three things and ignore the forces of evil in the world and inside you that would coerce you into thinking that anything else has merit. It doesn’t.
I have always been in search of a way to help people in a concrete way, financially. Sure the arts, spirituality and inspiration are great, but why can’t those things be coupled with the worldly necessity of making money? It isn’t the only thing that can move the world forward, nor is it the only thing one should be involved in, but The Empower Network is the best and fairest plan I have seen for coupling a positive message, increasing your exposure into the market and to fill the bank account with meaningful amounts of money.
