The day you become disappointed in the world is a sad day.
I guess there comes a time in everyone’s life where disappointent overcomes them. The world, which at one point in life seemed full of good, has turned into a place where mistrust, greed and deception seem to have taken over.
You become cynical about politics, because it becomes apparent that the forces of evil within all institutions make it impossible for any institution to be pure. I have become totally disechanted with the Church, and religion in general, because it seems to worry itself with what is wrong with people and they go out of their way in missions to tell them their situation is all to blame because they haven’t accepted Christ as their savior. That we are all sinners, bad, and are basically only worth anything when we say the Christ is the answer, the Bible is all that matters and the church is the only place on earth that is pure.
We just have an Olympics in Russia, and less than a month later, Russia invades the Ukraine. We are just getting done in Afghanistan and Iraq, and then you start getting into solving the Iran problem. It just goes on and on and on and on.
The money spent on all of this is ridiculous. It brings no one anywhwere.
Everyone is crying and complaining about the economy, there not being enough jobs and everything is too expensive. When there are more ways to earn money now than ever before. But everyone is so narrow minded that they can only see what they know, and are not willing to do anything different.
Skepticism and fear of being duped by scams, internet, banking, and all other kinds of frauds has people scared. For good reason. Those who figure it out are at a huge advantage over those who are clueless and claim to have the right to stay clueless.
It is all too much, isn’t it?
Add to that the problems you have with health, staying in shape, eating the right things and being around the right people.
The entire debate over gay rights is beyond me. Who cares? Really! I have been around gay people all of my professional life, they have never done anything to me, nor tried. What are all of these Bible thumpers afraid of? If you go by the Bible, and start discriminating against people because it says in the Bible they are sinners, then you might as well disallow the entire human race.
Bigotry is the biggest sin of all. Casting people out is inhuman.
I am so disappointed in the world, but there are a few bright spots. In those I think there are some people who are actually trying to do good and to have a real, tangible and positive effect in people’s lives. I chose to work on those things, and believe in what is real for people.
Whatever it is that people want in life, it should be made possible. Not given, but made possible. Today it is.
My hope is that I live and work the way I want the world to be.
