I am a naturally born citizen of the United States of America. The constitution of the United States of America guarantees me the right to express myself freely and without fear of intimidation or retribution from the government or from anyone else. It is an unalienable right.
There was a time when people used to say "I don't agree with your point of view but I'll die to defend your right to have it."
Life in the United States doesn't feel like that anymore. It feels dangerous to say what you think. We have become afraid to discuss anything having to do with politics out in the open, with friends, and with family. There is a definite feeling of intimidation and retribution in the air today. Anyone who denies this is lying to you.
I used to dream of having a cabin in the woods somewhere out in the country. Now, I wouldn't dare. When I drive through the countryside of America today it feels like I am driving through enemy territory. I'm literally scared. Driving across the country used to inspire the feeling of "Road Trip" and the open roads of freedom were one of the reasons to rejoice about being an American living in this great country. Now, it feels hostile to me, dangerous.
You have to keep your head down and act completely neutral on things if you want to get along in certain areas and it is blatantly obvious when you are there.
The past 9 years has been a nightmare. All of the trusted and established institutions that this country was founded on have been called into disrepute. We are being taught that you can't trust anyone, especially those who are 'intellectuals, scientists, and dedicated administers of justice'. The press is all "fake" and they are obviously against America and the present administration. The government is being dismantled by a chainsaw massacre worse than any Hollywood movie could ever dream up. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It is gaslighting on a completely new level.
White is now black and black is white. Never mind what you see. It isn't what you are seeing. The evil in this charade is unfathomable. For every person wearing a Maga hat, or a Trump hat, or whatever ridiculous cheap appeal thing you can imagine, it is the same as wearing a mind control device on your head. It means they own your mind. You are part of the cult and are no longer thinking on your own. It is the ultimate brainwashing tool. It works like a gem.
During my time in German theaters, it was often said how strange it was to see actors put on the Nazi uniforms in plays and operas. It has an affect on you as a person to wear stuff like that. How far gone do you have to be to put on one of those ridiculous hats today? Very far gone I would say.
It amazes me the 'speak' that these people all have. It is like listening to androids. They all say the same things. They have the same comments. They are all mind controlled. It is scary and dangerous to see a broad swath of the population under this mind control. It is no longer funny. It is serious. If this doesn't get broken soon, all may be lost. People have got to snap out of this trance they are in.
All of this was made possible by the underlying shift from patriotism to nationalism. This has been happening since the Reagan administration. I'm not blaming Reagan, but this is when it started.
A patriot is someone who is proud of the country they live in because they have the freedom to voice their point of views. A nationalist is someone who gives up their point of view for the 'party' line no matter what it is. You'll sacrifice your mother for the flag. Flags everywhere. Forced flying of flags. Organized flying of flags. Nationalism, nationalism, nationalism. That is where the word "Nazi" comes from. That is NOT America.
It no longer is a tenable position to say that you are a patriot when you are in fact a nationalist. There is a distinct difference. A nationalist is over proud, goes along, and either willingly participates in the cult or simply supports it. A patriot stands up for what the is right. That is the difference.
The attack on the free press by this administration of this country is an abomination to the constitution. I can't see how anyone can agree with what is going on. Without the protections guaranteed by the First Amendment we are all doomed.
The First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
One thing disturbs me about this. It says "Congress... shall make no law"...but what about the President? What about the Supreme Court? Can they lawfully impose restrictions on the freedom of speech, religion, and to assemble. I don't think so, but what is to stop the president from issuing an executive order and if the Supreme Court ,or any court, doesn't deem it unconstitutional then it gets allowed? How does that work?
I'm not sure how we get out of this hole we're in.
