"We the people"
The only way to stop the demise of America is for "We the people" to stand up and demand the removal of the administration currently in office. Otherwise, America will cease to exist.
America has been the envy of the world for it's constitution and steady rise to power through the wisdom of free thought and free enterprise. It has been the grand experiment. It has been 249 years since the Declaration of Independence and since that time America has managed to build not only a country led by it's people but also defended the world's lease on freedom as well. The result since World War II has been consistent peace and freedom in Europe and around the world.
I grew up believing in the principles that the United States was founded on and was always proud that the power was held by the people and the ability to determine our own destiny. The basic principles of this is no secret. It is really quite simple. There can be no King or Queen, no dictator, nor Emperor. The President is a servant of the people and protector of the constitution. The President's job is to be the executive that makes sure the government does it's job while the President is in office. It is the role of overseeing. But the President doesn't have full power over it all. Secondly, nobody is above the law for any reason.
The Supreme Court damaged and weakened the country by giving the President immunity if the order is given under certain circumstances. This is of course simply wrong. The President should be above reproach, the one who ensures that the rule of law is upheld not to escape it for themself. To me, the Supreme Court members who voted to allow that immunity should be removed from office and imprisoned for their crime against the American people. They don't have the right to declare anyone immune under any law. It isn't their law to make. It is the people's and their ruling is unconstitutional by any measure.
The perverse involvement of mega wealthy people and corporations to literally bribe candidates in the election before they are in office and to further bribe them in future elections is another area that is completely against the moral principles of American democracy. The genius of American democracy lies solely in the unimpeded power of the citizens to decide who serves as leaders. When the mega wealthy can unfairly advantage their preferred candidates it takes away the rights of the people in every way. If anything should be a level playing field it should be in elections. But, this is far from the case any more.
It has often been said that a President is defined by the people who are picked to help them in their administration of their duties. These people aren't to be "yes" men who automatically do the bidding of the President but to wisely advise and consult in the best spirit of serving the people. Congress, not even those of the same party as the President, is not there to rubber stamp everything the President wants but to keep watch over the President. The honest process of checks and balances must be held to the highest standard or the end of America is soon at hand.
We are there. The end of America is here. The Supreme Court has a majority of puppets chosen by this President. The Republican Party no longer exists, it has been replaced by the radical right movement of the MAGA cult. Those Republicans in office who don't agree with the current situation are incapable of resisting these bullies and although the numbers are close in congress I'm not sure that even a change in the numbers can change the current course we are headed.
The outrageous renaming of the "Gulf of Mexico" is as ridiculous as it is imperialistic. The mere suggestion that Canada should be the 51st state and that Greenland and Panama be bought, or for lack of a better word, conquered, flies in the face of every principle the United States has ever held. Enraging our closest allies against us by threatening or placing outrageous tariffs on their imports is possibly the most destructive act of any leader since World War II, especially considering this President signed the former trade agreements into law.
There is no other way to see what is happening than as a grab for a permanent dictatorship and the rise of an evil party as the government of the United States. I'm not sure it can be stopped. Forget individual rights, human rights, or any other inalienable 'rights of man'. It is essentially over with unless "We the people" take massive action against this perverse administration and the mega wealthy opportunists who think it is their place to destroy everything that has been built for over 200 years.
We are two months in from the inauguration and the US has lost its place as leader of the free world and now has offended every ally we've built over the past 80 years. Another big question is how the military is going to act under this administration. My hope is that they live up to their oath to be loyal to the Constitution and not to the President and the administration, if it doesn't then there could be some very dark times ahead for the world. How what is going on is supposed to improve things for the United States or the world going forward is impossible to see.
Never in my wildest nightmares did I think something like this was possible. Never did I think that I would be spending the final years of my life with my country stabbing me, us, and the world in the back. It is massive treason on a galactic scale and it must be stopped somehow.
I held out hope that all the bluster was just that, bluster. But, now it appears it isn't. The plan is to take Canada, Greenland, and Panama, plus probably Mexico and central America are in play and I'm not sure there is anyone who can do anything about. The game of Risk is being played by the strongmen of the world and now our President is one of those evil men. It is an abomination.
Never mind Medicaid or USAID issues. Those are minor issues in the face of what is coming and I have no idea how to stop it. We are in danger. When America gets a cold the world gets the flu. Well, batten down the hatches, we are all going to be very sick very soon. It is a disaster. There is no other way to see it.
