How Many Times Have I heard ”Was machst du hier?”
”Was machst du hier?” (What are you doing here?)is a phrase I have heard over and over again. If not that, then a few sentences after the first hello come ”Was machst du?” (What are your doing now? as a job for example) I am usually rather disturbed by these questions because it isn’t something I would ask someone else, it is like being asked to justify your existence. But, the real reason why it gets on my nerves is because I don’t have a real answer, because for the past couple of years it hasn’t been clear to me nor anyone else what I am doing. Not that I haven’t been doing anything, after all I have written a book ”Boredom to Brilliance” done some readings and workshops, started new businesses and been working really hard on my mentality.
However, I have had my head stuck in the sand, hiding myself and my projects from the world out of fear, and I am not entirely sure what that fear is…
”Was machst du?” makes me irritable
Machen means making or doing in German. You could also say Was tust du, but that is more like what are you doing in the sense of ”why are you putting salt on candy?” Machen is more job oriented. Anyway, everyone in my sphere of influence has a job. I know very few entrepreneurs from my world of music and opera. I do have friends who are entrepreneurs but I am speaking here of the folks that ask me what am I doing…
Answering The Question Clearly Is Important
At some point I have to come out of the closet with my businesses. Being an opera singer for my whole career causes people to expect me to do that and I have identified myself through my voice and singing on stage. I am a musician, singer and stage person. Music and theater are what make me get excited, gives me passion. But, since I have had difficulty singing, I have had to sit on the sidelines and try and figure out what to do, because it doesn’t make much sense to try and teach either if you can’t really sing yourself. So, in a way, I have been ashamed to say that I am trying to sell my book and build my businesses because it isn’t being who I have been and what people expect from me. There are so many questions to answer when you do something different, everyone wants to know ”was machst du?” and it is difficult to answer that I am doing something different to make money and build a business.
Fear is what holds me back from putting my stake in the ground. With anything related to Network Marketing or Affiliate Marketing you automatically get the same reactions to that, so it makes you not even want to bring it up. Everyone understands trying to sell a book, but they have no idea how difficult that is. Writing is easy, selling is difficult. That is why marketing is so important.
But the fear of what your family and friends think is paralyzing, until at some point you get angry enough to defy all of the people ”protecting you.” Somehow the idea that working to make money is a bad thing got into my head. I was taught that money was a by-product which comes out of doing something, you don’t do anything … for the money. In fact, I never worked a day in my life just to make money. I worked always because I liked doing what I was doing more than I did making the money, it is almost like it isn’t a factor.
So, I’m writing this blog just to say that although I like working on the Empower Network, I love the mindset training and am learning so much about internet marketing and blogging, that the reason I am doing it is to simply make money.
Why is making money with the Empower Network a good idea? I’ll tell you why…
Because it is set up so you CAN make money! When I saw the comp plan explained on a youtube video with Dave Wood, I dropped out of my chair in amazement. How come?
My book project has led me to learn how to build a business as a guru in whatever area. One way gurus make money is through a paid subscription to a monthly newsletter. So, I decided that I would try and do the same thing. Now, in my book Boredom to Brilliance I discuss scale as an important aspect of artistic endeavors, you must be able to scale your work up or down to get the result you want. So with my newsletter I had to find a way to scale up subscribership. So, I thought, how can I earn money through the subscriber sign-ups without the subscribers losing money, better yet, can I arrange the subscriptions in a way that would make it possible for them to earn money? I couldn’t come up with it…
…until I saw David Wood’s presentation. Then it hit me and my involvement with the Empower Network began.
So, let me tell you ”was ich hier mache!” I have found a way to make money while others make money at the same time and everyone has the same opportunity to succeed.. The 100% commissions along with the pass-up comp plan make the Empower Network opportunity the most lucrative business anywhere. It is pure genius.
I’m making money with the Empower Network and I have never been prouder of something in my life. Of course not everyone will have the same results, so visit the income disclaimer right here and get the close up results of earnings from affiliates. To be clear about ONE THING and this is all important! The Empower Network opportunity is NOT an investment it is a business. Money is made only through products sold.
Also, I just want add that the Empower Network compensation plan isn’t like a lot of network marketing comp plans in that there is no placing people under other people, however there IS still the effect of leveraging the work of others through the pass up system. So, all of the commissions are paid one level up, even though it extends in the indefinite depth. Every affiliate markets their business and produces sales through that effort, one to one direct sales.
